Hello everyone!
So this blog post is more on a serious note so please take the time to read this message.
As you probably know by now, Nepal was struck by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake during the weekend. So far there have been 3000+ confirmed deaths. The earthquake caused mass destruction. To add to this, Nepal is a third-world country which means that they need our help more than ever.
Some of you probably have family or friends living in Nepal or if not you probably have friends who do. Whatever your relation with Nepal is we would love if you could help.
We don't currently know where you go to donate but when we find out we will leave a link on the blog so you can go and donate. Just $1 can go a long way.
Because as a wise man once said:
"You can feed one stray dog in the street and think it doesn't make a difference but to that one stray dog it made a world of difference"
(Just kidding! I made that up on the spot :P)

We're Back For Term 2!
Hello everyone!
For everyone at Remuera Intermediate we hope you had a good holiday.
Now we're back with some exciting news! This term the Social Changency will be joining forces with the Enviro Squad to celebrate Enviro Week.
We have an exciting competition for Remuera Intermediate but more information on that later. We're very excited to be joining up with the Enviro Squad. We could be the 'Social Enviro Changency Squad' or something.
Another exciting event that is coming up this term in Week 3 is International Day. Every year Remuera Intermediate have an International Day where everyone comes dressed in clothing from their culture. Everyone also brings food and we have a huge shared lunch. And to top it all off we have an International Assembly where all the cultural groups perform something from their country. We can't wait to see everyone's lovely costumes and food.
The Social Changency would also like to thank everyone who entered our poster competition last term for Race Unity Week. We had some beautiful entries!
