Our Mission Statement

Our Mission Statement

We are an active globally-minded group from Remuera Intermediate School in Auckland New Zealand, that are concerned about the important issues of today. We align ourselves with the values programme of our school and endeavour to make a difference to our school and our community. We will organise special days throughout the year to build awareness of global issues such as the environment and peace. We will concentrate on service and being of benefit to others. Our time to change the world is at our Friday lunchtime meetings with Mr Zemke in the Media Room.

Planning week







In order to help our fellow students and school understand the meaning of service, we have made plans to visit individual classes to talk to them about service weeks; so that they can make plans.


We have had 1-2 people visiting each class to ask them what their service plans are and to let us know when it is happening, so we can visit them, take photos, make recordings, and interview kids.

We hope that during service weeks that there will be lots of activities around our school. And RI student's will help out around the school and in their classes, by getting involved in:
rubbish duty, cleaning, and other helpful things.

The Social Changency wants you and your friends to give service for the next week or so, by helping people and inspiring others to take part in this.
